Did I have a panic attack or is it more serious ?

did i have a panic attack or is it more serious? about 2 or 3 days ago I went numb from head to toe. my tounge had a tingling sensation like I had touched it to a 9 volt battery. and my heart was felt like it was going to jump out of my chest . The numb feeling lasted about 5secs. the racing heart lasted a few mins. It happened again last night but this time I wasn t numb. Just a racing heart and light headedness. I went to the emergency room and was given an ativan prescription. Can anyone give me an opinion. I am 23yr old. slightly over weight. and otherwise healthy. Thank you for any and all help. I appriciate it.

If you went to the emergency room with these symptoms and you had a thorough exam, I would be very inclined to believe (since you are in good health) that what you are having are panic attacks. Did they do an EKG? If they didn't, and you're still concerned, you can always go to your primary care doctor and request one. Even if nothing is physically wrong with you, it might ease your mind and help quell the panic attacks.

I just got back from a 2 month work trip where I was anxious every day to the point of panic attack a few of those days, just something I am living with and working on. but I have been home for 2 weeks where I usually am great and was swimming at the gym when my chest felt heavy..no pain just hard to get a full breath, I was getting air fine but it seemed labored. this induced a panic attack and since every day I have felt at times heavy chested, swollen at the base of my neck and fatigued of course this is causing more anxiety but is there something seriously wrong. I have never once felt pain and my bp is fluxuating between 120/80 to 140 over 87. I have been afraid to workout since. I went golfing and the symptoms were minor but I did feel out of breath very easily

I have been a little sick. Today I tried to get ready for work in the dark. Power outtage. I teach kindergarten and have been under serious stress. When I got to my car, I had faster heart palpitations. That has been an hour ago. I have panic attack disorder, so I took one of the klonopin and went to bed. It still felt fast after the hour, but not as fast. I took my pulse for 15 seconds on my neck. It was 27, so I think it was 108 for the minute. I am 58, 5 3 and my blood pressure is always low. I have a heart valve that backflows into the ventrical when blood is pumped to the main artery, diagnosed about 4 years ago and had the dye procedure that showed that all of my arteries are clear, at that time. My cholestorol is usually borderline and a little above at times. I do not eat much salt and I usually do not eat that much: cereal, fruits, vegetables, occasional meat, but I do love ice cream and have it a few times a week lately. I did feel weak from the cold I have been fighting. I also took some antiviral drugs for I feared that I was going to have a herpes outbreak. I did not. I take trazadone for night terrors, paxil for depression and strattera for ADHD also. I just took my pulse again. It is still 108.

I have CIDP. I am currently in remission and have regained the ability to lift my feet but still have much numbness in my feet and hands along with a tuning fork sensation. I also have a difficulty with bowel issues, extreme pain, taking an hour or longer to finish, going from a constipated stool to watery diarhea, and I am in intense, gut wrenching pain. I have been in the hosp two time, each time ten days, for passing blood. First time it was ischemic colitis, second time undiagnosed but each time I ended up with nothing passing but blood. I have had an endo and colonoscopy. Nothing showing and I have had extensive testing as I also presented with B12 deficiency, unknown why. None of the regular possibilities, not a vegan nor was it due to celiac or gastro issues, etc. My neuro ran extensive testing. I am stumped, my gastro Dr. is just like oh well and meanwhile, I am in more pain than I can relay. This happens an average of twice a week and more often than not I vomit at the same time, so I have a hard time maintaining weight. History, I lost both breasts to cancer 2004, it was very early stage but aggressive and they did mastectomies for the grade and family history. Also, I was misdx with MS for four years and gave myself shots of betaseron. When the CIDP started really getting bad, it went fairly quickly. Thx.

I was in a car accident on the 18th. I was rear-ended by another driver. Initially I thought I was having whiplash related symptoms but primarily the pain I m having is in my head. I have a constant burning, tingling sensation with pain behind my eyes and in my ears. It s similar to the feeling you have when you are upside down and all the blood rushes to your head. I m having a CT scan on Friday. the only pain relief comes from taking pain medication like Hydrocodine and I m trying to return to work. What is the best natural way (if there is one) to relieve the pain. Also what can be causing the pain? I m also having disorientation, dizziness, and gag reflexes perodically.
