Hello, thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Low grade fever as you mentioned in your query is a characteristic feature of typhoid fever and you mentioned that still fever is there that too low grade, so once again think about that typhoid is still there.
The cause of fatigue is
Due to fever
Due to anxiety of fever ( so long time)
So please get in blood examination about E S R and C B C and of course Widal test.
Please get in an X-ray of chest P A view to rule our any disease in lungs.
Good luck Dr. HET

Hi, thanks for asking in Healthcare Magic.

Low grade fever after typhoid is suggestive of carrier state. You should do complete investigations like stool culture, widal test, ESR and complete haemogram. If tested positive for carrier state, antibiotics like Cap Amoxycillin, or tab. Ciprofloxacin for 4 to 6 weeks should be taken to eradicate the carrier state.

Roughly 1 to 5 % people develop carrier state and carry the typhoid organism. Distaste indicates that you still have sub clinical fever. Bland diet like rice gruel and bread toast is ideal till fever subsides. Take adequate fluids, tender coconut water and fresh fruit juice.

Once the fever subsides, 3 stool cultures at 24 hours interval should be tested for the presence of typhoid bacilli to rule out the carrier state.

I hope this is useful.

Do you have vomiting/ fever/ increased urge to use washroom/ watery shit presently?
With the available described symptoms, there could be possibility of Acute bacterial gastroenteritis.
Although you have taken full course against typhoid fever but persistent of symptoms suggests the diagnosis.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist/ gastroenterologist and should go for thorough check up.
You should take complete antibiotic therapy, antispasmodics, probiotics, antipyretic.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

In some persons the symptoms of typhoid can last up to 4 weeks though these days with more effective treatment it is more likely to last 10 days to 2 weeks.
The low grade fever may indicate a residual infection , it is part of the body's inflammatory response.

If you are still feeling unwell then you may want to consider investigations such as a full blood count and stool culture.

I hope this helps
