If someone, known to have been consuming alcohol, was brought into the ER in police custody for feeling dehydrated, and if whether or not they were acting unruly, would the following ever be given to them within an hour and a half of time.
INJ HALOPERIDOL TO 5MG
INJ LORAZEPAM 2MG
INJECTION, ZIPRASIDONE MESYLATE 10MG
*after this was administered, the person had a ELECTROCARDIOGRAM, CHEST XRAY, and TROPONIN TEST.

Hello,
If the patient is under intoxication and aggressive, then Inj. Haloperidol can be given and Inj. Lorazepam may have been used to counter the extrapyramidal reaction which sometimes happens with Haloperidol. However Lorazepam should not be given to patient under intoxication of alcohol, however if the patient is in alcohol withdrawal Lorazepam is the drug of choice. And to control aggression during alcohol withdrawal Inj. Ziprasidone and Inj. Haloperidol can be used as and when basis only.
Its better to rule out other medical condition in any patient with aggression if it is suspected that aggression is due to delirium as medical conditions apart from Alcohol Withdrawal Delirium can cause or aggravate the delirium.
The last Inj. Ziprasidone is only justifiable if despite all the medication given to patient failed to control aggression and hostility of patient.
Hope it helped.
Regards.
