Cramps in rib cage, soreness. Is this muscular?

i have had like a cramping sensation or twinge at the bottom of my rib cage in the centre (sternum) this comes and goes, have had it this past 2-3 months, cant really class it as painful, just annoying - very slight soreness, twinges down to my lower stomach , feels to be at front of my body only, is this muscular? - i am 31 yo male

Thanks for writing to us.
The pain that you have described is likely to be due to muscular spasm in the area. Avoid any stressful exercises and do a hot fomentation. Mild pain killers and muscle relaxants may be needed.
