Could Vomiting Be The Side Effect Of Taking Pyazinamide?

dear doc,

my son is undere medication for a primary complex....our pedia doctor gave us 3 medicine...these are isoniazid,rifampicin and pyrazinamide. However when he takes pyrazinamide after a while he feel uneasy that he tried to vomit/blow up.....is this the usual effect of this medicine?? He takes this pyrazinamide after meal.....hope you can answer my questions

Hi... nausea can occur with pyrazinamide initially. You should keep a watch that the child should take the medicine properly.if he vomits out the medicine soon after taking then the dose should be repeated. The child may also pass orange color urine because of rifampicin.you need not worry about it.
