Could The Rashes On The Vagina Be Due To Shingles?

I have developed a peticia type rash on my vagina, one side, and blisters up the back of my bottom to the crack. I went to the dr. last Monday and they said they thought it might be shingles. I was put on medication, but m still hurting, however the rash is disappearing. Could this be something different than shingles?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune skin disease. It is not due to drugs used for lichen planus. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

I would recommend...

- intradermal injection of triamcinolone 10 mg
- apply tacrolimus lotion
- Tab levamisole 50 mg daily
- Tab biotin 10 mg daily
- Avoid stress and tension
- Have patience

Hope this helps.
