Could The COPD And Sleep Apnea Be Diagnosed With One Single Test?

yes please, I am a 49 year old female I had childhood asthma and later as an adult I was diagnosed with copd and sleep apenia.I recently moved from Utah to Montana and I had all my medical records sent to my doctor.I seen a pulmonologist in Polson Montana he did one test one little breathing test and told me that someone was wrong and copd just does not go away. Now my question is can you clearly diagnose COPD with just one simple test.It seems like they did a few more test on me when I was told that I had it and gave me disability for it.Could you please give me some advice.I think he is a quack

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your problem and situation.
For the diagnosis of COPD, gold standard test is PFT (pulmonary function test). On the basis of only PFT report, COPD can be diagnosed without error. So COPD can be diagnosed with single test and it is PFT.
For sleep apnea, full sleep study is needed for diagnosis.
So, sleep apnea can also be diagnosed by single test, known as full sleep study (polysomnography).
And COPD, sleep apnea can be seen together.
