Could Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding With Abdominal Cramps Be Due To Miscarriage?

I started my period on the 13th of march and had a normal period. I started bleeding on the 1st of april and was very light pink, then it became extremely heavy and bright red. Very mild cramping and not many clots. It is now the 9th and it very light but now its an organge color, no pain. Should I be worried? Did I have a miscarriage, am I pregnant?

Hi,

Prolonged vaginal bleeding with abdominal cramps can be due to various causes, including miscarriage, hormonal imbalances, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, infections, or certain medications. It is important to see a healthcare provider for an evaluation to determine the underlying cause of the bleeding.

If you have had sexual intercourse since your last period, it is possible that you may have become pregnant and are experiencing a miscarriage. However, it is also possible that you are experiencing irregular bleeding due to hormonal imbalances or other causes.

Your healthcare provider may perform a physical exam and order blood tests to check your hormone levels. They may also perform a pelvic exam and possibly an ultrasound to evaluate the uterus and ovaries.

If you are pregnant or suspect that you may be pregnant, it is important to inform your healthcare provider so they can provide appropriate care and monitoring. It is best to seek medical attention as soon as possible to determine the cause of your symptoms and receive appropriate treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
