Could Light Pink Blood With Mucus After A Week Or Periods Be Implantation Bleeding?

Hi. I just had my period exactly one week ago. Today I went to the bathroom and there was very very light pink blood with mucus when I whipped but my pee was normal. My boyfriend and I had sex 2 since then. Is this implantation bleeding? Or is it ovulation? Thank you for your reply.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
It is difficult to tell the exact cause of the spotting just by examining the bleeding and mucus.
The possible causes for the spotting are:
-As it is in the middle of the month, that could be ovulatory bleeding.
-Abrasion due to intercourse leading to spotting.
-Intermenstrual spotting due to hormonal imbalance.
Usually implantation bleeding can occur around one week after conception.
So, that may not be an implantation bleeding.
If the spotting subsides, no need to worry
Better to wait till your expected date of periods.
If you miss the periods, go for pregnancy test.
Take care.
