Could It Be A STD If Had Unprotected Sex And A Cloudy White Discharge Which Turned Yellow?

I recently had unprotected sex with my boyfriend last week. A couple days ago I started having cloudy white discharge which then turned yellow and is not a reddish brown. He says he does not have any STD's. What could this be? Should I get checked out for an STD anyway?

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

Anytime you are having unprotected intercourse and subsequently develop symptoms that might be related to a vaginal infection, then STD's should be considered as a possible cause. While the most common vaginal infections (yeast and bacterial vaginosis) are not considered STD's, for your peace of mind, this should be confirmed and STD screening performed.

I hope that this helps and good luck!
