Could Inflammed, Red, Swollen Fordyce Spots On Penis Be Serious?

Hey, I am a 16 year old male, and I have 'fordyce spots' on the underside of my Penis. One however only recently seems to have become inflamed, red, swollen. Should I be worried, or will this disappear? Will it make the spot more prominent because of this swelling?

Hello
Thanks for query.
You have Fordyce spots on penis which has turned to become red and inflamed.

This is due to secondary infection of the Sebaceous Cyst (Fordyce Spot)

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefexine along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily for a week.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.
