Could Increased Sodium Intake Cause Itchy Hip With History Of Having Stage 3 CKD, Diabetes, HBP, High Cholesterol?

Hello: I have been diagnosed with stage 3 CKD for about 3 years, I have diabetes, HBP, high chol & trig and have stablized them all with meds and attention to my diet. I will occasionally have a very itchy left hip and wanted to know what that indicates, is it caused by an increase in my sodium intake, or something else. Thank You, Linda Moze

HI
Thanks for your query.
An increase in sodium intake will not cause an itchy hip. Please consult a dermatologist who can examine you and determine the cause.
On a side note, a high sodium in the diet can cause your blood pressure to be elevated.
Hope this helps
Good luck
