Could Eye Strain Be A Cause Of Having Redness On The Iris Of My Left Eye?

The iris of my left eye (outside corner primarily) became quite red last night. The right eye to a lesser extent. When I awoke this morning, there was no discharge. However, the redness has not reduced significantly today. I am teaching online several hours per day, so I am wondering if eye strain can cause this redness.

Hi,

I think you are referring to conjunctiva instead of iris(based on the explanation). Yes teaching online several hours per day, constant strain and dryness can cause the redness. I advice you to take rest for every hour by closing your eyes and also try to blink more often while teaching online. Avoid direct exposure to fan or AC vents. These will help you. If any inflammatory signs like discharge, pain, fever then consult your doctor once.
