Could Coughing And Ear Pain Of A 3 Year Old Be Due To Sinus Infection?

My 3 year old had a temperature of 101 last mon, tues, and wed. He was also coughing. He s been fever free since Thursday but is still coughing and when he blows his nose his ears pop and hurt. I took him to the dr on the first day of his fever but dr said it was a cold. Could this be a sinus infection?

Hello dear, welcome to healthcare magic forum.
If thick yellow discharge comes on blowing the nose, this indicate sinus infection. This can some time be associated with tube dysfunction leading to ear fullness.
This can be treated with antibiotics and decongestants for a few days.
Otherwise this just indicate an upper respiratory tract infection. Your doctor will guide you.
Thank you.
