Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have red dots on my arms and a couple of years ago a Dr. said it is from too much alcohol. They went away but now have reappeared along with bruising on my arm that was not from an injury. It s blotchy and in a weird shape. My concern is that it is related to the red dots (as I all them).
The red dots on your arms can be related to impaired liver function. It can be alcoholic hepatitis and that's why your doctor previously related it to alcohol usage. You should test liver functions testing liver enzymes and bilirubin.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
