Could Bowel Movements Be Normal After Anal Stenosis Surgery?

My grandson was just diagnosed with anal stenosis he is 8months old. we are taking him to see the surgeon I am just wondering if after surgery will he be able to have normal bowel movements or will he always have trouble going to the bathroom. I know I can ask his doctor this but i have been looking up treatments online and what other people have said. And a lot of people are saying that there children still have problems with using the bathroom and are always in pain everytime they have a bowel movement
