Constant Ringing Or Whooshing Noise After Perforating Ear Drum, Reduced Hearing. Does Tinnitus Happen From This ?

Hello, I perforated my eardrum quite badly about 6 weeks ago by having a cotten bud accidentally pushed into my ear with force. I have had reduced hearing and a constant ringing or whooshing noise since then. My ENT Dr said they cant say if it will go away or not. Just wondering has anyone else experienced tinnitus from perforated eardrum if do did it go away once it healed? Thanks

you should go for pure tone audiometry, to know about air-bone gap & the status of sensory neural element of your ear only then one can plan treatment of your problem.
