Child Passing Green Stool With Yellow Granules. Gave Econorm Powder With Milk. No Change. Suggestions?

My baby (boy) is 5 months old for today(27th) .From last 10 days he is passing green stool with yellow granules type in it...that too its loose and gassy .he was adviced to give ECONORM powder with milk for 2times/day, 3days .but still no improvements were found.He is still passing the stool the same way for maximum 4times a day.Is it healthy???..i m worried if its the sign of any kind of illness...please give me your advice and help me out..should i get the stool test of my baby??

Hi,

Green stools not necessarily indicates infection .It just suggest intestinal hurry in evacuating the stools.

Would like to know :
whether you are mixed feeding him (top and breast milk)?
Are you weaning him?
Is your child mouthing(putting hands in mouth)?

In the above situation there are possibility of infection .

If your child has fever and has pain while passing motions it would be advisable to get his stool examined to rule out infection.
