Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter fell off her changing table this morning I think she hit her head. I picked her up to console her and after a minute I laid her down to change her diaper. She was not acting normal she looked as if she was fixing to fall asleep. I tried checking her pupils but she got mad. We then came to living room she seemed liked she was gonna fall asleep again so after a few mins of her sitting on the couch looking lost and staring off into space I picked her up and she laid on my shoulder fir a min then started puking. Now she s been acting fine.
Hi,
Thank you for your query,
That staring episode was a seizure activity due to head injury.
Child needs neuro observation and hospitalisation as there was a staring episode and needs complete neurological assessment to rule out intracranial injury.
He needs CT Scan of the brain to detect any intrcranial bleed or cerebral edema.
In this situations consulting emergency departments for hospitalisation and evaluation is required.
Hope I have answered your query.
