Child Have Sore Throat, Fever And Diarrhea. Advised To Take A Lot Of Medicines. Is It Required?

HI Doctor,
My daughter is 11 months. She is having sore throat and slight fever. She also having diarrhea and her stomach is having lots of wind. My doctor is recommended Leftose syrup, Rhinathiol children syrup, Cetirizine, Prospan, for the flu, sore throat and cough. then Singulair for phlegm. Thenn Smecta for her uneasy stomach.
Please advice is it ok for a 11 months baby consume such lots of medicine?

Singulair is normally used in persons with asthma or allergies. It is not normally needed or used simply for the common cold or flu.

She would need medication for the fever such as paracetamol which would also relieve the pain of her throat.

The rhinathiol is a mucolytic which would help with a wet or productive cough and may also help break up the mucus in her nasal passages if this is a problem.It can be used in conjunction with the prospan and cetirizine.

YOu may want to speak to her doctor regarding your concerns about the medication
