Child Has Orange Tongue At Back. Gave Gel For Thrush. What Is It?
My daughter has yellow orange tounge at the back looks quite thick my health visitor gave me gel for her mouth she said try it for thrush but she has no other signs if it plus I bf so I'm sure I would have had it too she's 1 years old I haven't tried anything new in her diet so I really don't know what this could be I'd be grateful for some advise please -aimee

Hello, Thanks for posting your query. Your child is most probably suffering from a scalp dermatitis or eczema which can be related to her colds as in case of atopic dermatitis or a result of nutritional deficiencies which can affect her overall health. The best way to confirm would be to get her evaluated by your doctor who can start prescription medications ( anti allergens, emollients , antibiotics if needed )appropriately . Meanwhile make sure her scalp is not exposed to sun and extreme dry conditions .give her a nutritious diet rich in vitamin c , zinc. And proteins or a prescription multivitamin daily.
