Child Has Constipation, Crying When Passing Stool. Is It Right To Start Bonnisan? Currently Breastfed


Hi, my son is 2 months and 3 days old.. for past 3 days he is having constipation problem... Two days before he passed stool and for last two days he is trying and crying for this problem n not passed stool.. is is right to start bonnisan for him.. He is in mother feed only.. he passes urine normally without any problem..

Thanks for your query.
It is normal for infants to pass several stools in one day or not to pass for few days.
Most important is that baby should be active and accepting feeds normaly.
This is good he is on breast milk.
Mother should avoid gas forming food items in her diet.
Bonnison drops can be given if prescribed by your pediatrician.
I suggest you to add a pinch of crushed sugar or glucose in 2spoon of mothers milk and give it 2to 3times a day.
