Hi,

Thank you for your query.

It is very common for children of this age to get repeated attacks of upper respiratory tract infection. The reason is that the child is developing his immunity which is only going to develop if he contracts the infection. Secondly, the child is going to a school where he is getting exposed to different organisms. Most of the time you will have to give him a cough syrup but three-four times in a year he may require antibiotics to take care of the infection.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your son an early recovery.

Regards,
