Child Had Scabies. Marks On Legs Due To Bacterial Infection

My grandson had a bout of scabies 3 months back. He had very bad scratch marks on both his legs. Until today the marks are there. I am perplexed because all rashes on hands and body have gone down after treatment except for his legs. They are very obvious and looks like chicken pox rash. But it was confirmed that he had scabies.
His doctor says the marks are caused by bacterial infection due to his scratching. But it's been 3 months now and they are still there.

Welcome to HCM.The marks will gradually fade away in a few months,no therapy is required. It would help to rule out any Dermatitis or eczema which may be coexisting.
