Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

I suggest that you consult a gastroenterologist who may get an ultrasound and, if needed, do a gastroscopy to know the exact problem. Giving an antacid is not the solution to the problem. In case she has gastric reflux then she may find relief by sleeping in a propped up position.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction. Please feel free to revert back for any clarification or share any other information.

Wishing your daughter all the best.

Regards,

RKK

Hello there,
If your child has a history of kidney reflux, she must have been carefully evaluated and worked up for the same. Also if this condition has worsened or was left untreated, it would have resulted in serious problems like severe urinary tract infections and even kidney failure. Your child says she feels "sick". This is a vague symptom and can mean anything. If she gets a sound sleep and has no episode of vomiting or respiratory problems, it is unlikely she has any reflux disease. If her conditions do not improve or new symptoms develop, kindly get her checked by a Pediatrician.
Take care.

Hi welcome to Healthcare magic forum. Now you child of 8 years is feeling difficulty during night, she told it is only an acid reflux. Don't worry she is right it is only an indigestion. caused by some foods. Other causes are amoebic infection or worms in the stomach. You need not worry, what ever it is curable.
She had kidney reflux as a child , that is a different thing and it has nothing to do with the present acid reflux. that is due to diversion of the mood towards games etc, post poning the urination it happens. The remedy is to make habit of urination frequently.
For the present problem i advise you some diet recommendations for her. Avoid giving excess of spices , chillies, junk foods, oily foods, citrous fruits, and juices.
give more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, milk, egg, meat, fleshy fruits , juices, and dry fruits. Wishing for a quick recovery and thanks for calling.
