Child Born With A Large VSD And Undergone Two Heart Surgeries. Heart Murmur Was Not Heard. What Could It Be?

I have a 3 week old that sleeps basically all the time except while eating. I mean he might be up 5-10 minutes after eating without crying a couple time a day but really it is eat and go back to bed. I have noticed the last two days that if he cries for even 2-3 minutes he gets really sweaty on his head and most the time when I pick him up he will just pass out in my arms immediately. This is concerning me because I have a 6 yr old that was born with a large VSD that resulted in him having 2 open heart surgeries and have since found out that he has a genetic issue that I'm the carrier of. Pediatrician says she doesn't hear a heart murmur. Am I justfied in calling the pediatrician tommorrow and ask that my 3week old get checked out?

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
One child has heart disease does not mean that all other siblings will have it.
3 weeks age is the right time to consult and rule out heart disease.
In view of the past history and to be free from worry. consult pediatrician.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
