Chances Of Infecting With AIDS If A Person In Relation Is Positive?

My boyfriend of 4 years got tested positive for full blown AIDS in November I was tested in December and I was negative I do not have a spleen. They won't test me until June and I am scared should I get tested earlier. I also have heart problems and I'm an alcoholic. Along with the host of mental problems. Please help me!

Welcome to HCM.

It depends upon when you had your last unprotected contact with your boy friend. You had your test in December. If you had your last contact after September then you have to be tested once again. You need not wait till June to get your next test. 90 days after your last sex contact with him, you can have the test. If the test is negative after that , you need not have any more test and you are sure that you are free from HIV. Unprotected sex carries a high risk.
