Hi and welcome to health care magic,
The commonest cause of absent periods in sexually active women is pregnancy. So I suggest that you get a urine test done to rule out pregnancy if it is more than 7 days after you missed your period.
The pain is suggestive of an impending period. If there is no pregnancy, period will come within the next 7 days after stopping
regesterone, so wait until then for the period.
I suggest that you try to reduce your weight as
irregular periods are common in
overweight women usually due to a condition called PCOD or
polycystic ovaries where hormonal imbalances are present and ovulation does not occur.
If the pregnancy test is negative and you still do not get periods after regesterone, get tested for hormone disturbances like PCOD, thyroid, prolactin and also get an
ultrasonography to look for other causes of missed periods like ovarian cysts.
Do not worry and just wait for 7 days after completing regesterone for further evaluation.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Thanks for using HCM.
