Any couple with normal sexual function (male-good semen counts &normal ability to have sex,&femle-regular menses &ovulation, healthy uterus ,&patentfallopian tubes have a chance to conceive &so you have! high blood pressure ,cholesterol do not hamper fertility.however Diabetese if not under control can reduces the semen quality ,but the problem is reversible after treatment.
You should -
-Get both of you investigated for excluding any hurdles in conception/get a treatment if needed.
-Be in perfect health With the dibetese &bp under controlfrom 3 mths prior to planned time of coception
-start taking tab. ultrafolin 5 mg. &cap. evion 500mg -once a day(both of you )
