Can we control cholesterol level through exercise and diet ?

My cholesterol is 225 and S.HDL cholesterol is 38. should i take any medicines or try exercise and diet control only. I am 50 years old male

Total cholesterol is borderline high and HDL is little normal.You definitely need treatment , but the treatment of choice depends on other risk factor you have for heart disease.I advise you to visit your Physician for complete examination and evaluation , and further treatment regime.Meanwhile you can start diet control and exercises.
