Can U Suggest Medication Bring Down The Sugar Levels As Mixtard And Insulindidnt Work?

My mother's aged 63, diabetic for the past 7 years. Taking mixtard 30 insulin for the last 10 months, dosage 33 - 0 -23. Now HBA1c is 7.8. sgot is 33 and sgpt is 61. uric acid also 7. taking 5 mg medicine for cholesterol and 50mg metolar for blood pressure. Sugar not getting normal. please help.

dear sir I understand your concern.tnx for providing all necessary information for understanding the case.in my opinion her sugar control is not that bad.as per her Hba1c I would like to call it as a fair control.slight adjustments can be done .if her renal function is good consider adding 500 mg of metformin twice daily.this will help her Hba1c to come to target 7. for her age Hba1c 7will be very good control.dont forget diet and exercise ......regards
