Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding side effects of medicines on esophagus.

Here I would like to tell you that some medicines are having effect on gastric mucosa by producing gastritis and gastric irritation as analgesic, antibiotics etc. Similarly the medicines crosses blood brain barrier , if taken for long time or in over doses may cause neuropathy.

Therefore medicines should always be taken under supervision of doctor to avoid complications.

Regards.
