Can Strokes Cause Memory Loss?

ct scan shows a small left middle cerebral artery infaction and MRI confirms I have had a small stroke - does this mean permanent damage to brain cells? have some issues with remembering words and memory is a bit dull. Also have a kind of pressure pain, but would not class it as a headache as such since it happened 6 days ago. On asprin at mo, BP is quite erratic as low as 99/72 and as high as 145/92, high cholestrol - now on statins aged 46 - female not overweight or smoke -

HI
Well come to HCM
If this is middle cerebral artery related infraction then the severity of infraction is matter here, some time this could be transient and that may not cause any clinical manifestation, if you have some difficulty in memory so this can be come around with rehabilitation and proper treatment, and this is nothing to worry, hope this helps.
