Can Strep Throat Infection Reoccur With Symptoms Like Stomach Pain And Headache?

my 9 year old had strep throat and was treated with antibiotic. after few days she felt better, but then started complaining about her throat and head and stomach hurting, while still taking antibiotic. she has been done with antibiotic now for almost a week. could she have strep throat again

Hi thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

Looking at your query,there might be a possibility that the antibiotics which were given may not be effective against the infecting organism.

I would advise Throat swab for culture and Antibiotic sensitivity.It will help to find out that which bacteria are causing the infection and to which Antibiotics they are sensitive.

He might be feeling stomach ache due to pain killer.I would advise to take Antacid like Rantac

Also do warm saline gargles.Drink plenty of warm fluids.Avoid cold food and dust.
