Can Regestrone Tablets Cause Hormonal Imbalance And Delayed Periods ? Should I Take A Pregnancy Test To Confirm Pregnancy ?
Hello, My age is 24 years, height is 5.6 and weight is 46 kgs. I took regestrone tablet total 21 in no. s. I took this tablets twice a day for around 10 days as the doctor suggested to take that as I had got brownish discharge 15 days after my previous periods. I have stopped taking from 3 days still i have not got my periods yet. Please suggest what would be the reason.. My last periods were on 16th of July. I was supposed to get my periods on this 16th august but i took regestrone tablets till 19th august morning and hence i was expecting my periods yesterday. But yesterday i was feeling like vommitting since morning and in the evening i had a vomit once. We are using precaution and hence I am not sure whether I am pregnant . today is only 22nd august so I feel its too early to go for a pregnancy test as m not sure whether it would be detected. Please suggest

This symptom complex can be due to Regesterone itself but one cannot be sure. Get a Pregnancy test done to confirm if you are pregnant or not. If you are not pregnant you can wait for 7-10 days after stopping the drug for your period to come. There may be some hormonal disturbance due to the medication as well which can prolong periods. If you are pregnant then the stress and hormonal imbalance may be causing this problem also vaginal infection should be ruled out. Consult your Gynaecologist after doing Pregnancy Test.
