Can Redness On Skin Be A Result Of Having Used Hydroquinone?

I had use cream which contain hydroquinone for about 15-20 days after some days redness came over my skin i stopped using that cream.now the red part of my skin became little darker from rest of my skin probably the stains of light brown color.can u pls suggest me the remedy to remove these stains

Thank you for posting on HCM.
Hydroquinone is a bleaching agent used for resistant forms of hyperpigmentation.
Long term use or excessive use of hydroquinone can definitely leading to irritation and thus cause irritant dermatitis. As of now stop using hydroquinone at all and start using a cream containing desonide or hydrocortisone twice a day over reddish dark irritated areas followed by good moisturizer like Emolene cream.
Avoid pricking/scratching and use sunscreen if your going out in sun.
