Can Recurring Chicken Pox Infection Affect Sexual Health In Males?
hello doctor.. i am piyush 23 yeasr old. i am suffering from chicken pox from last 5 days and from today itching has stopped. this is my second time i got chicken pox. firstly i got when i was 7 years old. my question related all is that somebody told me if boys suffer second time with chicken pox it effects thr sexual ability is it??? second time chicken pox puts negative results on boys sex life?? please confirm. and also tell ways to recover if the answer is yes.regards
In adult males, the fever that accompanies the chicken pox can result in lowering of sperm count as is seen with all other infections with fever. But this sperm production returns to normal soon after the infection subsides and the individual returns to normal. But in very rare cases, hardly seen in my experience the infection can also cause a slight reduction in size of the testes that can also permanently reduce sperm production rate.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
