Can Pimple Like Sore On Cheeks And Ears Be An Allergic Reaction To Concerta?

My son is taking Concerta 36 mg. he just started it and he took the medicine for two weeks then we renewed it for 30 day supply. He is on his fourth pill of the 30 day supply . He has some places on his face that we thought may have been from him picking his pimples but now I am not sure. They look more like sores and we noticed them in his ears as well. We thought his ears look like they were draining and maybe have become chapped due to this. Could this be a reaction to the concerta. He was well into the medicine before these sores appeared.

Hi.Thanks for writing on HCM.
Concerta (Methyphenidate) can cause skin rash, itching, red blotches, blisters or peeling of the skin as one of its side effects.I were to suggest you to discuss with your doctor especially if these skin lesions have worsened after starting these medication.Hope this answers your query.
