Can Night Time Sickness, Abdominal Pain, Constipation And Lost Appetite After Being On A Depo Shot Indicate Pregnancy?

I'm on depo , but I feel like I'm pregnant , night time sickness , cramps , abdominal pain , constipation & lost of apitite . The depo is suppose to be 100% but all this came a once & has been going on for almost 3 weeks now..&no me & the guy never use protection , could I be pregnant

Hi,
The protection with a depo shot dwindles as it reaches the third month especially with those who are overweight as the need for the hormone is in excess of normal in such cases. In the current scenario, you should get a serum beta-hCG assay to confirm/exclude pregnancy and follow it up with a trans-vaginal/pelvic sonogram. The failure rates with the depo are very minimal. If pregnancy is excluded, the cause of your symptoms should be sought for and a physician's opinion would be helpful. Hope this helps.
