Can Neurocysticercosis Repeat?

hello sir my name is pinki acharya i am a teacher.actually sir i was diagonised wid neurocysticercosis in 2004 then i was on medication for 5 yrs my doc did a ct scan nd declared me as completely fit nd thus stopped my medicines bt nowin 2012 i felt the same thing is it a relapse?? what i should do now...

Hi Pinki,
Neurocysticercosis is treated by medication by which the lesion undergoes fibrosis. Thereafter it is unlikely for them to recur. However, new lesions can develop. So if you are having similar features then you should see your Doctor and if required get a CT Scan done to see the status of the previous lesion.
