Would my menstrual cycle increase pain from a hernia? I have had pain in the right side of my groin for several months now, and after my ovaries checked out just fine, my doctor believes it is a hernia although a CT scan did not find one. I have been watching for patterns in the pain, i.e. what makes it hurt more or less, and the only thing I ve noticed is that the pain is much worse during my PMS week and the first day of my period. Should I go see the surgeon my doctor recommended regarding a hernia or go back to my OB/GYN to see if something else with my female organs?
Hi I m Amanda and I am 20 years old. My period is a week late (I usually get it the first week every month). I also just moved home from living with my grandma who no longer gets hers to living with my mom who still does. I took at HPT at 5 days late and it came back negative. I also have a hernia in my lower abdomen near my pelvic bone . Is my period late due me changing to match my mom or could my hernia be causing it to be late? My hernia has also been causing me more pain than usual...... any ideas?

My Mother underwent a laparoscopic surgery for umbilical hernia repair couple of weeks ago. She is right now recovering well, her appetite seems to have opened up. Few days ago we got her CBC done, which showed her HG to be 6.5 and RBC to be 2.06. Doctor has asked to.give her 5 Vitcofol injections along with 1-1 of Folvite and Ferrium XT. Ever since.she started the vitcofol injections, she has been moderately constipated. Her stools are hard and slightly dark in color. Is this a normal side effect of Vitcofol or the Folvite and Ferrium tablets? Also, she feels chills in the body even though its not too cold. Although the.chills have reduced in last couple of days.

I am flushing my own drain with 10cc s of saline and am confident I can pull my own drain (it is not sutured into the skin)....it s a size 14 tubing...I can remove the wafer and mylar disc and just pull, right?
