Using Metformin has nothing to do with anal itching; but diabetes might be the cause.
Usually, diabetes is associated with high chances for colon polyps and for intestinal infection like candida.
Most probably, the anal itching you are experiencing might be related to: - hemorrhoids (that should be properly treated and caring) - candida infection of the intestines (culture the feces for candida to take proper treatment) - intestinal parasitic infections (examine the stool for ova/parasites)

Can Metformin Medicine Intake Cause Anal Itching?
Hi, Using Metformin has nothing to do with anal itching; but diabetes might be the cause. Usually, diabetes is associated with high chances for colon polyps and for intestinal infection like candida. Most probably, the anal itching you are experiencing might be related to: - hemorrhoids (that should be properly treated and caring) - candida infection of the intestines (culture the feces for candida to take proper treatment) - intestinal parasitic infections (examine the stool for ova/parasites) I also suggest to do urine analysis to exclude urinary tract infection or other genital infection. Meanwhile, you might apply zinc oxide cream and anti-itching cream to reduce it the itching feeling until the test results are in. All the best! Dr.Bardha
