Can Low Carb High Protein Diet Change Stool Color To Yellow?

I am 45 years old, male, and 5 days ago I started on a low carb, high protein diet. In the last couple of day I have noticed that my stools have been yellow. Formerly they were normal. Is this a reaction to the change in diet or could there be something else going on?

Thank you

Hello,

Normal color of stool is grayish yellow. If you feel stool is more yellowish that may be because of more bile salt or fat in stool. Do a stool examination test for further diagnosis. Mention the pain at particular site. Consult a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rachana Goswami
