Can 'lamisil' Cream Be Used For Scrotal Itching And Bumps?
Hi,
I have had a problem for a while now. My scrotum gets itchy and sometimes develops lumps. I have used travocort cream which stops the itch followed by Travogen as recommended but the travogen doesn’t seem to work so i get back to Travocort.
I know it’s a fungal infection and try yo keep clean and dry despite my physically busy days but the problem persists. I have read its not recommended to use Travocort for a lond time but it’s the only treatment that works. The moment I stop using it, the itch returns.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Yes Lamisil is an anti-fungal creme and should work well for fungal infection of the scrotal skin. I would suggest you the following: Clean the scrotal skin 3 to 4 rimes in a day and apply liquid povidone iodine to make the area sterile. You may have to take oral anti-fungal tablets. Use loose clothes and pants. Avoid hot and humid atmosphere at any cost. This will help you to get a cure.
