Can Irregular Food Habits Cause Upper Abdominal Discomfort?

Hi, I seem to have discomfort near the bottom of my chest upper abdomen. I guess you could call it burning a bit just more discomfort. Recently in the past two days Ive eaten tons of junk food and a lot of food in general due to a party. This is not my normal diet, so could that be a symptom of sudden irregular eating?

Hello,

The given symptom could be suggestive of hyperacidity and the exact cause of it is not possible to detect here but some time it could be due to diet taken, it could be drug induced, it could be due to stress, alcohol, smoking.

Once, it is the symptoms of hyperacidity you are having, then it is advisable to take care in diet, avoid taking spicy, oily, fat containing food, you can try tablet Rabeprazole once in day and it has to be taken for five weeks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
