Can Hoarse Voice And Tiredness Be Related?

i am A 23 yr old female. i have had a hoarse voice for over a month now (not so significantly hoarse that its hard to hear me, but enough that my range is affected and i sound different and feel hoarse) i have had a few other symptoms which may or may not be unrelated... I was increasingly tired for about 6 weeks but that seems to have passed. I feel no post nasal drip, and i do not feel as if this is an asthma related hoarseness, i also do not feel any reflux. what could it be?

Hi,

Noted the history of a 23 year old female having hoarse voice, has increased tiredness for about 6 weeks that has passed off now, no post-nasal drip, no reflux. It seems that you have asthma as you have mentioned so.
Well, the commonest cause of hoarseness of voice at your age is vocal cord thickening or so.
The best way is to consult an ENT Surgeon for laryngoscopy to know the exact condition of vocal cords so that an appropriate management can be done.
Till then give complete rest for voice.
Take plain water steam inhalation.
Plenty of warm liquids orally.
Multivitamins, minerals and trace elements as you had tiredness.
Treatment of asthma if you suffer from it.
Take Ibuprofen if it suits you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant,
