hi,
Before i give my answer to your question,,,i have few questions for you regarding your age,sex(M/F) and did you simply get the blood test done or any other reason behind it? Well ESR is erythrocytic sedimentation rate, where it is measured during hematological (blood) investigations for the patient. it will be usually more in the conditions when the patient is suffering from any kind of cause or focus of inflammatory conditions.such as pregnancy, inflammation, anemia, rheumatoid arthritis, periodontitis etc., this only indicates the condition of red blood cells (erythrocytes)in our body. it usually ranges from 4-15mm/hr in men and 7-20mm/hr in women. But as far as concerned to your problem,it is nowhere related to any kind of conditions that you are facing with. so dont feel upset regarding your condition with ESR values and kindly concentrate on the nutritious diet you take and its very much advisable to have plenty of drinking water as much as you can. there are many causes for loss of apetite. they can be bacterial or viral causes,or for some of the medications we take or it can be psychological problem or in some certain conditions like chronic liver disease or kidney failure, heart failure, hepatitis,HIV,dementia, hypothyroidism, a condition where your thyroid is under-active. We cannot predict directly without the presence of the patient. If you still feel that your problem is unsolved regarding hair fall and loss of apetite, the i kindly advice you to visit a near by gastroenterologist and dermatologist.
