Can Greenish Liquid From Ear Be Due To Infection From Swimming In A Pool?
My husband has greenish coloured dishcharge in his ear but his ear doesnt hurt It only started today when he cleaned his ear with an earbud we realised the change in colour. Could it be an infection from swimmin in a pool for long hours ? A week ago his parotid gland on that same side was swollen
I have gone through your query regarding greenish discharge from ear, though there is no pain in ear.
Ear discharge developed after swimming therefore it is most likely due to ear infectionOtitis externa. It will be better to consult your ENT doctor for examination of ear and necessary investigations for planing for treatment. Till you are in waiting for appointment you may do-
1- Keep your ear clean and dry.
2- Take anti inflammatory.
3- Take any broad spectrum antibiotic.
Don't put any ear drop without consulting your ENT doctor.
Regards.
