HI,

I can understand your concern for thinning of hair on both sides of scalp skin.

You are correct in your perception of french braids being responsible for the thinning of the hair. You stop doing these things in her scalp as the traction of hair causes thinning and falling of hair which we call as traction alopecia.

If I were her treating dermatologist then would have prescribed a syrup containing Acetylcysteine, Calcium Pantothenate, Selenium, Zinc, Biotin, Copper as active ingredients.

You can additionally give fruits, green vegetables and sprouts as these contains vitamins in the form of biotin, calicium pantothenate and other vitamin B complexes.

All the best.
