Can Follicles That Aren't Maturing Imply Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)?

Hi Doctor, i have a kid of 3 years and trying for another one. Was scanned and got to know that my follicles size is 4-6mm and is not maturing. does that means I have PCOS? Can't I conceive in that case? or should I not try for another one? Can I leave this untreated? please suggest

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
If your periods are regular, its very unlikely to happen each cycle that your follicle don't mature. It can happen in occasional cycle (1-2 cycles in a year). In that case, you can conceive naturally & need not worry.
If periods are irregular implying anovulation, you need treatment for ovulation in the form of simple tablets which are not costly. In that case you can consult your gynecologist for the same. Please don't leave it untreated if you want second kid.
Regards.
